Data Sources Overview¶
Aurastream aggregates data from 10+ financial data providers through a single API. Each source has its own ticker format, supported intervals, and credential requirements.

Choosing a Source¶
Forex & Metals: Use oanda for real-time streaming-quality data with your own account, or yahoo for free delayed data.
Crypto: Use binance or bybit for exchange-native data. bybit is ideal for perpetual futures. Both provide public data without credentials.
US Equities: Use alpaca for real-time data (requires credentials) or yahoo for free data with slight delays.
Economic Data: Use fred for macro indicators (CPI, GDP, interest rates) across 70+ countries.
Company Fundamentals: Use finnhub for financial statements and company metrics.
